Why These Ward Maps Are Important To Your Research!

During the 19th century, the Census Bureau used city wards as census divisions for the taking of decennial (ten year) censuses. Wards were voting areas which were divided based on population and other criteria.

Over time, Wards tended to change in size and shape as city officials adjusted them. So in effect, what was the 7th Ward in 1880 might not at all resemble the 7th Ward in 1890. This microfilm publication provides five to six maps for each city, allowing you to visualize how the Wards changed over the years.

Conventional maps only show the city's streets and roads! These maps show the civil divisions (Wards). Order yours today!
